If any of these sound familiar

If you experience these symptoms, your condition may be manageable with physiotherapy.

  • If you have undergone knee, hip, or shoulder replacement surgery
  • If your rehabilitation process has started after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) or meniscus surgery
  • If your cast has been removed after a bone fracture and joint movements are restricted
  • If your surgeon has referred you to physiotherapy
  • If you want to do pre-operative (pre-habilitation) muscle preparation
  • If you want to speed up functional recovery after orthopedic surgery

Orthopedic rehabilitation is the most important step that crowns the surgeon's successful operation after orthopedic surgeries (Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) repair, meniscus repair, knee and hip replacement, bone fractures). If correct physiotherapy is not applied, there is a high risk of permanent joint stiffness and muscle atrophy (wasting).

In accordance with literature (PEDro) and your surgeon's protocol, early mobilization and progressive loading applications starting after surgery support proper tissue repair. Range of motion (ROM) exercises and proprioception (balance) training are planned throughout the process.

Additionally, preparing muscles with pre-habilitation physiotherapy for clients with surgery decisions significantly supports the speed of functional recovery after surgery.
